The microeconomic side of tourism is what we tangibly see on the streets – like this vendor tying to sell a hat to a foreign tourist who casually dismisses him, not a glance nor a shake of the head is returned. Often the vendors earn what they can for the day while hotels have guaranteed bookings.

Inside a jam-packed metro train, there are other interesting sights other than the passing scenes outside the window. One remarkable thing is seeing passengers huddling together and at the same time keeping personal spaces sacred.
