Afternoons are not the best time going to the fish market, I learned. In this fish port, high tide floods the concrete market center, and the catches have been gradually losing their freshness, like these shrimps.

Fresh catch everyday: the wet market of Puerto Princesa is always busy and, well, wet. You can find various and colourful fish sold at low prices. The major industries of Palawan, surrounded by major seas, are fishing and tourism.
