Young and old: these boys peruse the works of Jose Maceda, National Artist for Music, that involve a wide-ranging research on Philippine and Southeast Asian ethnomusicology. Riva Ferrer is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and musicology learner. She is an alto member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the country’s premier choral ensemble. She initially studied conducting and composition courses before gaining interest in Southeast Asia music. As a reflection of this, she incorporates indigenous music in some of her compositions.
